Built in 1976 by a group of film-loving hippies, the Jean Cocteau Cinema is now owned by George R.R. Martin. The Jean Cocteau Cinema is, proudly, one of the few remaining small indie cinemas in the Santa Fe area. A single screen, independently operated movie theater and events venue located in the Santa Fe Railyard, they curate and screen meaningful, interesting and fun films, from art house cinema to indie films to major blockbusters and more. They also host engaging live events all month long. Check out their event calendar to secure tickets, and sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop about all they have going on. They were recently highlighted by the Santa Fe New Mexican, read the article here.
