Iconik Coffee
Iconik Coffee maintains a very 90s feel, harkening back to an age when coffee shops flourished across the country before Starbucks became the McDonalds of the industry. Iconik plays 90s alternative rock and has that same cool, downtown vibe Gen Xers will remember from their teen years. And, no, it’s not just a fun nostalgia trip—the coffee and food are top-notch. We love the poached egg salad, loaded down with fresh fruit and fresh lettuce. Visit during the lunch rush if you’re looking to meet new people, or stick to mornings if you like some peace and quiet with your coffee. With two locations at 202 Galisteo Street in downtown Santa Fe and 1600 Lena Street in Santa Fe City Southwest.
Caveman Coffee
With a name like Caveman Coffee, you’re probably expecting something a little different, maybe a shop that offers a slightly more aggressive breed of brew. Caveman does not disappoint. With coffees like Pirate Brew and Caveman Special, their take on a bulletproof coffee, the cafe is definitely for the well-traveled caffeine lover. Plus! Amazing smoothies when you want something fruity and cold. With two locations: 411 West Water Street downtown and at the Railyard at 1221 Flagman Way Suite B-1.
The Teahouse
Located at 821 Canyon Road in the Historic Eastside area, The Teahouse is a beautiful little place open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM. The main draw is the wide variety of teas, but it makes this list for the Santa Fe Chile Mocha Latte, which might just be the best sweet coffee drink in the city. No, they don’t actually add ground-up green chile to the brew, but there’s a hint of cinnamon that warms you up and is just the perfect thing for chilly mornings.
