Santa Fe Brewing, one of the early pioneers, expanded their facilities and offerings, while Second Street opened yet another location and are looking toward canning for the first time. You’ll Like It If: You want to take a piece of New Mexico home with you (lots of canned options). Their lineup of 7k IPA, Black IPA, Chicken Killer, and Oktoberfest top our list for packable Santa Fe specialties.
Recommended Brew: Twisted Root A light beer with ginger and lemongrass that defines its own style.
Second Street Brewing
You’ll Like It If: You prefer British-style ales and a strong, rotating beer list. With their three locations (Second Street, Railyard, and Rufina) and solid menu, this is a great go-to spot to chill and have a frothy one.
Recommended Brew: 2920 IPA Pronounced hoppy profile and good mouthfeel with citra aroma and robust malty finish.
Hidden Mountain Brewery
You’ll Like It If: You enjoy a relaxing restaurant atmosphere and well-done, traditional brews.
Recommended Brew: Gold Medal Oatmeal Stout Creamy, malty, and a perfectly executed stout.
Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery
You’ll Like It If: You have your family in tow and want a fun, friendly atmosphere. The new folks in town have done a great job with a stage, parking, and outdoor seating.
Recommended Brew: Honey Hibiscus Wheat A pink wheat beer with hints of lemon coriander.
Rowley’s Farmhouse
Rowley’s FarmhouseYou’ll Like It If: You are a quintessential beer nerd and enjoy experiments in fermentation. Oh, and their menu isn’t bad either (hint: try the chicken and waffles)!
Recommended Brew: Unshiu Tart and sour with hints of tangerine.
Chili Line Brewing
You’ll Like It If: You have a nose for small-batch smoked beers.
Recommended Brew: Smoked El Jefe A new spin on traditional Rauchbiers, smooth with hint of smoke.
Desert Dogs Brewery and Cidery
You’ll Like It If: You prefer to mix between ciders and beers while overlooking downtown.
Recommended Brew: Great White IPA A hazy IPA without harsh bitterness.
